Why loop a progression?

Because everything you practice sounds different against real harmony. Chord changes tell your ears where home is, which notes are tense, and which land soft. Loop four chords and suddenly your scales turn into solos and your strumming turns into songwriting.

Use it three ways: practice your chord changes along with it, solo over it with the right scale, or audition progressions while you write. If a progression feels good here, it will feel good in a song.

Need the shapes? Every chord is in the Chord Library. Want to know what to solo with? Send your progression to the Scale Finder with one click above.
