How to use this tuner
- Choose your tuning above (Standard E is the default).
- Click Start Tuner and allow microphone access when your browser asks.
- Pluck a single string. The tuner finds the nearest string and shows you how far off you are.
- Turn the tuning peg until the needle centers and turns green, reading In tune.
Tunings included
- Standard — E A D G B E, the tuning for most songs.
- Drop D — D A D G B E, low string dropped a whole step for heavier riffs.
- Half-Step Down — E♭ A♭ D♭ G♭ B♭ E♭, everything down one fret.
- Full-Step Down — D G C F A D, down two frets.
- DADGAD — a popular open/modal tuning for folk and Celtic.
- Open G — D G D G B D, used by slide players and the Stones.
- Open D — D A D F♯ A D, a bright open-chord tuning.
